A dream in the softest baby alpaca. Beautiful design with a contrasting border and embroidered logo. Baby alpaca wool is a wonderful material with properties that allow it to have an insulating function when it's cold outside while being breathable if the heat rises. Very good to have in the pram when moving both inside and outside.
The felt is soft and comfortable against the skin and not at all sticky like some other types of wool. A luxurious baby accessory & the perfect gift for a newborn baby.

Under the FAQ below you will find more information about our baby alpaca.
Baby alpaca is a fantastic material for babies for many reasons - like the fact it has its very own built-in stain protection. How does that work? Well, the fiber is moisture wicking, which means that liquids are not absorbed and can easily be dabbed off the garment. The same goes for oil and other fats and baby alpaca does not attract dust either.
If you feel that your baby alpaca garment needs a refreshment, it is recommended and often enough to air it out.
Despite all this, you may of course need to wash your alpaca garments from time to time. When the time comes, we recommend that you follow these simple steps.
1. Soak the garment in lukewarm water with mild hair shampoo or a mild detergent.
2. Gently squeeze the garment, but do not twist or wring as this can cause it to stretch and lose its shape.
3. Rinse well in cold water and gently squeeze out excess water.
4. Place between two towels and roll + press to absorb even more moisture.
5. Roll out and lay on a flat surface in the desired shape. Let dry.
It doesn't get any harder than that! If you take care of your baby alpaca clothing it will last you a lifetime or more. Enjoy! And if you wish, read more about the material here .

FAQ: BABY ALPACA
How soft is baby alpaca?
Thanks to the fact that the fibers of the alpaca wool are both fine and long, the material is silky smooth and not at all prickly against the skin unlike many other types of wool. The term "baby" has nothing to do with the age of the alpaca, it is a classification term for the finest alpaca wool.
Does baby alpaca adapt to different weather conditions?
Yes it does. Baby alpaca insulates heat and is naturally water repellent. The wool has a unique construction with small air pockets, which allow it to retain warmth in cold weather while its breathability keeps the cool when the weather is hot. Perfect in the pram all year round.
Does baby alpaca maintain high quality?
Thanks to the length and strength of the fibers, the garments last a long time and the yarn doesn't felt. There is always some initial pilling, but this gradually subsides and is not a sign of poor quality. Baby alpaca provides for a smooth feel on your baby's delicate skin. A premium yarn for the conscoius parent.
How does baby alpaca affect sensitive/allergy prone skin?
Alpaca wool, unlike sheep wool, does not contain lanolin and is therefore not allergenic or irritating to the skin. It is also very soft and silky. Excellent for delicate baby skin.
Is baby alpaca sustainable?
Baby alpaca is a more ethical and sustainable alternative to cashmere. The alpacas are sheared by hand during the warm season and the shearing does not harm the animals. The wool that you get from one alpaca shearing is enough for up to five sweaters. It can be compared to shearing cashmere goats, where up to four goats are required for a single sweater. In addition, the alpacas are "environmentally friendly" in the sense that they graze without pulling up the roots of the plants they eat, unlike cashmere goats, which preserves the pastures. A truly eco-friendly attitude.
